Daniel Olmo has hit back at claims Real Madrid underestimated Barcelona in their humiliating first El Clasico of the season.
Barcelona midfielder Daniel Olmo has hit out at Real Madrid for underestimating their potential as they were thrashed 4-0 at home in the first leg of the season’s Clasico, Diario AS reported on Friday.
Hansi Flick’s Barcelona stunned many with a 4-0 thrashing of Real Madrid, but some pundits say Carlo Ancelotti underestimated his opponents and suffered a dismal home defeat.
‘This is El Clasico, no one can underestimate anyone. It would be disrespectful and of course it will be reflect on the pitch later. I think we were superior, we played very well, we trained our game and we managed to get the three points, which is important,’ Olmo said.
Barcelona have made a strong Promotion ufabet start to the season, articularly in La Liga. Which gives Flick’s side the chance to reclaim glory from their arch-rivals Real Madrid, and that is Olmo’s aim.
